Sean Whytock is a composer, orchestrator, arranger and pianist from Carlisle, Cumbria, UK.
Having studied a Bachelors degree in Classical Music (Composition) at Leeds College of Music (Conservatoire), Sean has since then continued to work as a freelance composer predominantly for films and media; most recently composing the score for a short film on dementia produced by Eden Films Cumbria called Hide and Seek (2019) and the documentary film To Stay and To Serve: Life on Wigton's Homefront (2018), which commemorates 100 years since the end of World War One, exploring some of the local history of Wigton, Cumbria (produced by NADT / Wright Walker Productions). Sean is also a classically trained pianist, performing a variety of concert repertoire across the UK. Please visit the VIDEOS page for some examples of home recordings. He has studied under piano tutors such as Carlisle based Heather Perrin and senior ABRSM examiner Michael Hancock, as well as further tuition with David Murray (Head of Keyboard Studies at Newcastle University). Sean also enjoys arranging and performing pop, jazz, film, vintage and contemporary songs for piano and is available for hire to play at various events, functions, weddings, social clubs and restaurants.
